Murchison Falls National Park Entrance Fees : Murchison Falls National Park formerly known as Kabalenga National Park is one of the popular safari destination in Uganda and the biggest and oldest park in the country.
Murchison Falls National park is found in the Murchison Falls Conservation Area together with Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife, the park is located in the northern part of the Albertine Rift Valley where the Massive Bunyoro Escarpment amalgamates into the enormous plains of Acholi land.
Murchison Falls national park is situated in North western region of Uganda in Masindi, the park covers an area of 3,893 square kilometers and is famously known for Murchision Falls the most powerful waterfall in the world and a huge population of wildlife.
Murchison Falls National Park is endowed with several attractions including over 76 mammal species with four (4) of the Big Five “lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes”. Other species found in the park include bushbucks, Uganda kob, waterbucks and warthogs, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, hyenas, hippos and crocodiles. There are also primates including baboons, black and white colobus monkeys among others and over 45 recorded bird species including 23 Albertine rift endemics.

Annual Fees applies in the following incidences
- All and only foreign residents living in Uganda and any East Africa country, vehicle entrance is not included so it is paid separately
- Annual Fees are not valid for activities such as chimpanzee tracking and hiking
- Only foreign residents with a work permit valid for one year qualify for annual passes

- Entry fees for vehicles and boat are charged per 24 hours except for concessionaire visitor vehicles which pay once per trip in the park
- Rescue vehicles are charged the same rate as other vehicles according to the vehicle classification
- Motorcycles, trailers, vehicles with inflammable goods, livestock, produce, pool, timber and others are prohibited in Murchison Falls National park

RESEARCHER’S ACCOMMODATION
- Camping: a group of up to 10 individuals pay UGX 200,000 per month
- Extra persons are charged UGX 70,000 per month
- Vacant stuff houses are rented at UGX 200,000 per room per person per month for East African Researchers and US$ 150 per person per month for Non- East Africa Researchers
- Water and electricity will be paid for separately
