Domestic flights to Kidepo Valley National Park: The best way to get to Kidepo Valley National Park is to book a domestic flight in advance through a tour operator or straight to Entebbe International Airports from Aero link Uganda offices, Bar Aviation or Eagle Air or Fly Uganda offices in the same place.
Travelling by plane to Kidepo Valley National Park may seem expensive, but it’s actually very cheap and the easiest way to get there. This is because Kidepo is far from Kampala, Uganda’s capital, so driving there may take a full day, which can be tiring for people who aren’t used to long trips. But travelling by road seems to be more fun because you can stop along the way to take pictures, look at beautiful scenery, viewing wonderful landscape, and learn about the countryside, which you can’t do when you fly. Flying is quick, but it’s boring until you get to the park and start doing the safari activities.

It has a size of about 1,442 square kilometres and is made up of rough grassland. The 2,750-meter-high Mount Morungole is the main feature, and the Kidepo and Narus rivers run through it. So, the park is made up of two beautiful places: Narus Valley and Kidepo Valley. Both are great safari places to see a wide range of animal species in the park, but Narus Valley is the best place to see the most animals because it has water. The northeastern direction is semi-arid and gets a lot of sun, so a lot of animals can be seen there when they are thirsty. Including spotted hyenas, lions, cheetah leopards, wild dogs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, African buffaloes, bar-eared foxes, and Rothschild’s giraffes, among others. Some of the birds you might see are the Northern carmine bee-eater, Jackson’s hornbill, Golden pipit, Fox Kestrel, Black-breasted barbet, Chestnut weaver, Abyssinian scrimtarbill, Abyssinian roller, White-bellied go-way bird, Rufous chatter, Ostriches, Red-ringed parakeet, and Pygmy falcon, among others.
