Accommodation in Murchison Falls National Park : Murchison Falls National Park is the one of the best game parks in Uganda located in the Murchison Conservation Area together with the Bugungu and Karuma Wildlife Reserves.
Murchison Falls National Park is the largest national park in Uganda endowed with several attractions including over 76 mammal species with four members of the big Five “lions, leopards, elephants and buffaloes”, other animals include bushbucks, Uganda kob, waterbucks and warthogs, giraffes, Jackson’s hartebeest, hyenas, hippos and crocodiles among others. There are also over 450 recorded bird species including 23 Albertine Rift endemics, other birds include Silver Bird, Blue-napped Mousebirds, Grey-crowned Crane, Bluff-bellied Warblers, Goliath Heron, Black-headed Batis, Black-headed Gonolek, Green-winged Ptyilia, Chestnut-crowned Sparrow-weaver, Long-toed Plover, Vitelline Masked Weaver, Saddle-billed Stork, Spotted Morning-Thrush, Spotted and Verreaux’s Owls, Long-tailed and Pennant-winged Nightjars, standard-winged Nightjar, White-backed Night Heron and Pel’s Fishing Owl among others.

Baker’s Lodge
Baker’s Lodge is a popular Luxury safari lodge in Murchison Falls national park situated on the South bank of the Nile, the lodge is named after English Explorer Samuel Baker and loved for providing luxury yet traditional Africa accommodation and has direct river access.
Baker’s Lodge was open in 2013, the lodge’s rooms are generously proportioned, a charming combination of canvas and thatch built out from a communal dining room. While at the lodge expect to see an impressive range of animal and birdlife along the edge of the Nile, the edge of the lodge’s grounds are normally visited by Hippos and elephants.
Baker’s Lodge boosts unmissable views of the Nile and visitors can enjoy a delicious breakfast set along the banks of the river.
Paraa Safari Lodge
Paraa Safari Lodge is one of the most popular lodges in Murchison Falls National Park found in the central Paraa area where the Victoria Nile join Lake Albert. The lodge was originally built in 1959 and in 1997 it was reconstructed and filled with décor inspired by a former era of exploration of the Nile.
Paraa Safari Lodge is a large hotel occupying a prime site on the north bank of the Nile with 54 rooms , each room has an en-suite bathrooms, a large window and a private balcony. These rooms are categorized as standard rooms, Suites, Queen’s Cottage and Safari Tents.
Guests at the hotel get to enjoy Wi-Fi, a free breakfast at the restaurant, business center, a tranquil outdoor pool that appeared in the 1951 Hollywood classic – The African Queen and complimentary parking.
Nile Safari Lodge
Nile Safari Lodge is a beautiful eco-friendly luxury lodge situated on the south bank of the Nile, this family –owned lodge was opened in 2017. The lodge gas a unique aesthetic and the accommodation is designed to blend the boundaries between inside and outside and it seamlessly integrates with its stunning surroundings. Nile safari lodge was primarily built by expert local craftsmen who used natural materials.
Nile Safari lodge is situated within floating distance of Murchison Falls, the lodge features minimally intrusive design, elegantly crafted with local stones, eucalyptus wood, grass- thatched roofs and open-plan layout.

Twiga Safari Lodge

Twiga Lodge provided a contemporary take on a tented camp, combing canvas with solid construction.
Twiga Lodge has 8 private cottages located on the bank of the river Nile in Mubaako Paraa opposite the Murchison Falls National Park, the grounds of the lodge are frequently visited by monkeys, birds and even hippos.

Pakuba Safari Lodge
Pakuba Safari Lodge is one of the best mid-range accommodations in Murchison Falls National Park, the lodge is situated near to the Albert – Nile in the northwest. The lodge has one of the best locations in the park on the east bank of Albert Nile, Pakuba Safari Lodge is a modern incarnation of the former state lodge that was previous visited by Idi Amin and its ruins can still be seen.
Pakuba Safari Lodge is also situated a short distance from the Tangi Gate of Murchision Falls National Park.
There is a total of 32 Double/Twin rooms and 4 family rooms at Pakuba Safari Lodge, these rooms are all spacious and furnished and family rooms include two separate rooms which share an interconnecting door making it them for families with visitors. Budongo Eco lodge is located further south, 8 kilometers north of the Kichambanyobo Gate, alongside the main road that runs between Masindi and Paraa. The lodge offers a great access to the Budongo forest which is a home to a myriad of birdlife and over 600 chimpanzees and other primate species.
Budongo Eco Lodge is an intimate lodge offering five comfortable cabins and four large dormitory rooms for larger groups, the lodge is found in an area which was originally the research station for the Jane – Goodall Institute and it has been renovated to provide a pleasant base of forest exploration.
Budongo Eco-lodge has its own n-site visitor center which is very informative about the locl area and it showcases ancient fossils, the lodge also has a craft shop that sells handmade gifts to commemorate your visit and stay.
Murchison River Lodge
Murchison River Lodge is a family – run lodge located in the south bank of the River Nile, the lodge boasts panoramic views of the Nile and Murchison Falls National Park.
The lodge was established by Chris and Georgie, a couple who wanted to provide quality accommodation for all travelers regardless of their budget. The provides itself on sustainability and it runs entirely off solar power, the lodge also seeks to empower its local community and its on-site restaurant mainly uses locally sourced ingredients.
Murchison River Lodge offers a broad range of accommodation that is Thatched Cottages, Thatched Safari Tents, River Tents and campsite. Facilities at the lodge include on-site range, swimming pool with a roof at the shallow end of the lodge and a fully stocked bar.
Budget
Red Chilli Rest Camp
Red Chilli Rest Camo is located on the out skirts of Paraa the southern sector of Murchison Falls National Park, this lodge is categorized as budget and offers comfortable well-furnished bandas and safari tents with en-suite bathrooms and flushing toilets and solar heated water.
Parkside Safari Lodge
Parkside Safari Lodge is located on the outskirts of Murchison Falls National Park just 5 minutes’ drive for the park’s main entrance, the lodge boosts breathtaking views of the mighty Albert Nile.
Parkside Safari Lodge offers single cottages, double and family cottages, each cottage contains a private veranda and is situated far from each other for privacy and each cottage has got a bike outside where you can circle to the main lodge area.
