Bwindi impenetrable national park is famously known for harboring the highest number of mountain gorillas which are found in four sectors namely Rushaga sector in the south, Buhoma sector in the north, Nkuringo sector in the south and Ruhija sector in the east. Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Fly to Kihihi/ Kisoro airstrip in Bwindi impenetrable national park

Depending on your arrival time at Entebbe airport on the first day of the 3 days gorilla trekking fly in safari, you will connect your domestic flight to Kihih or Kisoro airstrip. Upon arrival at the airstrip, you will be picked by our driver guide who will brief you about the safari and then transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. The journey takes about 1 to 2 hours and upon arrival, you will check into the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park

You will have an early breakfast on the second day of the 3 days gorilla trekking fly in safari, carry packed lunch and then meet up with your driver guide to transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. After the briefing, you will be divided into groups of 8 people where each group will be allocated a gorilla family to trek, park rangers and an experienced park guide. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable national park takes about 2 hours to 7 hours depending on their location because they like to move from one place to another in search of food. During trekking, you will be able to view other wildlife species and once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be able to spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you an opportunity to learn more about their behaviors, habits, watch them carry out their daily activities, take photos and record videos.

After the one hour with the gorillas, you will return to the starting point where you will be given a certificate for participating in gorilla trekking and later go for an optional cultural tour where you will interact with the local people in the neighboring communities. After the cultural tour, you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight as above.
